The rich understand that in order to be successful, you have to surround yourself with the successful. Building relationships with other rich people is crucial for success. You don’t even have to network with the rich, you can befriend people with the drive and potential to become rich. 93% of wealthy individuals had a mentor that assisted them on their path to success.
5. They Understand Delayed Gratification
Millionaires spend most of their lives sacrificing temporary pleasures for long-term success. They see nothing wrong with buying an older car, living in a humble neighborhood, and wearing clothes that aren’t flashy or expensive. These decisions allow them to save money (Habit 3) and build a large sum of money. They know that instant gratification is fun, but delayed gratification is much better.

A morning routine can help you set your day up for the least amount of suffering and create a foundation of focus. We all suffer, sometimes a short amount of time, sometimes long. By setting up a daily routine you are eliminating the amount of suffering. It prompts you to focus on solutions and moving forward.

We are constantly setting goals for ourselves. Looking into the future and thinking about what we’d like to have or do is essentially setting goals for ourselves. The only problem with those goals is that they are not specific and sometimes not realistic. So instead of saying, “I want to earn $10 million this year,” a more specific goal would be: “I am going to bring in an additional $30,000 this year by increasing my productivity and efficiency.
9. They Have a Positive Mindset
Generally, wealthy individuals have a positive outlook on life. Attitude matters for sure. But simply being happy won’t lead to wealth. But it can’t hurt to be happy and appreciative about life.
10. Love What You Do
When you love what you do, the money won’t be the primary focus and earning it becomes effortless. Focus on developing a deep love of what you do for a living. When you love what you do, it will be like you’re getting paid to do something that you like to do.
