How to Create a Website for Beginners!

I have used both GoDaddy and WordPress to create websites. I began building my brand with Godaddy. Although GoDaddy was much easier in my opinion, I highly recommend WordPress. I made blog posts like the one you are reading now and I promote affiliate products. But my blog posts on my Godaddy site were not getting as much traffic as I wanted.

With wordpress you can start for free. I used the Personal Plan in the beginning to learn the basics of WordPress. Then when I figured out how to post blogs, change themes, edit menus, and get attention to my site I purchased the Business Plan. Each plan has better and better benefits. You can click here to learn more about the plans.

I think that making a website is the best way to grow your business. If you’re a hairstylist/barber you can create a website for customers to set appointments and to show off your work. If you are very good at a relevant skill, you can create a website and sell courses teaching the skill. There is just so much potential for you when you create a website.

In order to set up your WordPress (or any website), you’re going to need two things; a domain name and web hosting .

A domain name is your web address, like Web hosting is the service that connects your website to the internet. The domain name is very important. It should be relevant to the niche that you are in. Don’t make your domain name if you are

The purpose of web hosting is to to make your website accessible over the internet. It keeps all the webpages of the hosted site on their server, they take care of all the setup and technical issues, and they have a very high-speed connection to the Internet. The web hosting service I use is called Bluehost. Use this link Click Here button to get a free domain (for the first year) with your hosting. Their introductory price starts from $3.95/mo and they’re currently throwing in a domain name for free (first year)– so it’s worth checking them out. They are also one of the most popular hosting providers on the market, so they are definitely well-established and secure enough to host your website. In a nutshell – without a web hosting and a domain name, your website will NOT exist.

So there’s how to create a website. If you think I missed anything, feel free to let me know in the comments below.
